Grade 6 Daily Edit
The program is divided into 36 weekly sections. There are
five practice items for each day of the week.
Monday through Thursday follow this format:
• two sentences to edit—corrections need to be
made in punctuation, capitalization, and grammar• two sentences to edit—corrections need to be
• three items that practice a variety of language
and reading skills.
Friday’s practice cycles through three
formats:
• identifying mistakes—deciding if marked sections
of a sentence contain punctuation, capitalization,• identifying mistakes—deciding if marked sections
or spelling errors or if there is an omission.
• language usage practice—choosing correct verb
form, pronoun, homophone, etc., to use ina sentence.
• correcting mistakes—correcting errors in punctuation,
capitalization, and spelling in lists and letters.
